First Day of School
 
We can't wait to see you!  All schools will provide full-time, in-person learning on the regular school schedule!
 
The first day of school for grades 1-12 is Wednesday, August 31.  This will be an early release day.  Please visit the School Hours section of our website for early release times.
 
The first day of kindergarten is Tuesday, September 6.  For information on kindergarten start dates, "Family Connection" days and WaKIDS, visit the WaKIDS - Kindergarten page. 

Kindergarten Jump Start, Bridge to Middle School and Bridge to High School programs will run the week of August 16 for incoming Kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade students enrolled in our schools. Visit the Summer Learning page for information and registration.

If you are unsure which school your child will attend, or would like to see where your child will go after elementary and/or middle school, visit the Attendance Boundary section of our website.  Or, you may call the district transportation department at (360) 396-3099 - they will use your home address to confirm your school attendance area.
 

Bus Routes
Routes will be updated in late August

Bus routes may now be viewed online using InfoFinder.  With this online tool, bus routes can be viewed for all students in your home in one easy place!

To find your bus number, route, and pick-up/drop-off times, visit the InfoFinder site.  Enter your full street address and zip code (ie.  1234 Forever Road NE).  Leave "All grades and schools" to see all routes at your address.  Click "search".  

Tip!  You must enter a full official street address including house number.  For example:  1234 NE Myschool Road or 1234 Myschool Road NE depending on your official address.  (Entering Myschool Road, 1234 Myschool, 1234 Myschool Road will not work.)


Your school, bus number, and route pick-up/drop-off times will appear in the results.  

You can sort in the following ways:

"All" to see the entire route the bus takes
"Stops" to just see the bus stops for you address on a map
"Schools" to see which schools students at your will address attend

For free and reduced meal information, please click here.  Applications will be available beginning August 19th. It is important that families still fill out this application. Many programs outside of free meals rely on this information, and families who qualify may be eligible for additional services, including free/reduced internet.
 

Immunizations
 
Immunization deadline for the 2022-2023 school year is October 7.  One of the following must be on file:
  • Completed Certificate of Immunization Status Form -or-
  • Certificate of Exemption Form signed by your licensed healthcare provider for medical or personal reasons -or-
  • An appointment card from a licensed healthcare provider indicating a future immunization appointment date.

eNews Sign Up 

For Parents/Guardians:  Email and automated phone notification is set up automatically using the information you provide your student's school.  You should receive emails from your student's school without having to sign up.  If you are not receiving email, please check with your student's school to ensure that they have your contact information correct in our student database, "Skyward". 

For District/Community eNews:  If you do not have a student in North Kitsap and would like to receive our district-wide eNews please email us to have your email address added to the distribution list.  In the email include your First and Last Name, email address, and the school(s)/District you wish to receive email from.
